Next let's introduce you to our rig. You can tell that I'm becoming a trucker now because I used the word "rig". Instant street cred. You know I'm right.
We purchased a 2019 Ford F-350 Lariat dually with 18k miles from the wonderful Infiniti of Coconut Creek dealership. A huge thanks to Jason Flanagan for the great guidance and recommendations when shopping for a truck. I definitely recommend buying gently used as it saved us probably $20--25k on the sticker price of the truck.

Our truck is the 6.7l diesel with the 8' bed and the heavy duty tow package. Perfect for pulling around a fifth wheel!
We got our hitch installed at Palm Beach RV using the super simple 'puck' system that comes with the Ford towing package and are all set to hook up our fifth wheel! Honestly this thing couldn't be any simpler to use.
Total luck, but I'm super glad I bought the truck a good month ahead of buying the fifth wheel because the difference between driving a BMW 3-series and a full sized truck is pretty significant. I'm confident enough now with the truck to be able to go through the drive thru without scraping the hell out of the outer dually tire on the concrete and have learned how to properly use all the gadgets and doodads.
It's a wonderful vehicle that features right around 1,000 foot pounds of torque, heated and vented seats and and the most absurdly spacious cabin I've ever been in. It's literally like twice the size of the interior of our Acura RDX. It's nuts.
